Jack, Nora and Champ

"First few months was hard between me and him.

He would go to women all the time but be scared of men.

I over came that by one day fake barking at him haha."

Why did you decide you need 4 legged and wet nosed friend in your life?

I lived on my own so it gave me something to come back home to. Sometimes it can even be a better company than people.

Why did you decide to rescue?

I decided to rescue because I wanted to give some life back to a dog that had been misfortunate.

There are so many dogs that need home, how did you find Champ?

He was in a shelter and, even though his type of breed didn't cross my mind before, I knew straight away who I would take home with me.

How did the first weeks go? What issues did you face and how did you solve it?

First few months was hard between me and him. He would go to women all the time but be scared of men. I over came that by one day fake barking at him haha.

You have already lived with a dog when you met your fiance. How did she take Champ?

Nora didn't really like dogs but the way I kept him clean and groomed, he sharp found his way into her heart!

Nora, how did you build up your friendship with Champ?

I was on holidays when I first met Champ. Jack was working so it gave the opportunity to get closer with his dog. We spent nearly 1 month together. The fact that Champ felt more comfortable with women made it easier for me. Actually, everything went so well that me and Champ developed mother-son type of relationship in no time.

Any advice to people who think about rescuing?

Definitely to rescue a dog was one of the most rewarding things I have done in my life.
